Setting Hours
Standard Hours are the default weekly schedule for every technician who does not have their own recurring schedule. They appear as orange cards on the calendar.
Select Set Standard Hours by clicking Actions to view the current hours, then select Edit to change them.
Set the same hours for every day (for example, Monday through Friday, 9 to 5), add additional shifts, or choose different hours for each day.
Standard Hours cover a single week.
When you save, you will be asked to confirm that the change applies to all technicians who do not have an active recurring schedule, and whether it should apply to all events, including past events, or only to today and following events.
Recurring Technician Schedules give you more flexibility for technicians who do not follow the standard week. They appear as blue cards on the calendar.
Select one or more technicians.
Choose how often the schedule repeats, from every one to four weeks.
Choose the same hours every week, or different hours for each week.
Choose the same hours every day, or different hours for each day. These options work together, so every day of a four-week cycle can have its own hours.
Select a working location and save.
Technicians must be assigned to the working location you select. If you see an error that one or more technicians are not assigned to a selected location, update their location access and try again.
Managing Changes and Access
One-day changes. Select a populated day to open Day View, where you can review the recurring schedule or edit that date. Select the + on an empty day to add a schedule for that date. It will not repeat the following week, and it is not overwritten if the recurring schedule is changed later.
Copy a schedule. Under Actions, select Copy to use a technician's schedule as a template. Choose the users to copy it to and adjust as needed. This is a quick way to set up new technicians.
Permissions. Four new permissions control access to the Schedule module. They are managed through user roles.
Manage Technician Schedules: view and manage schedules for technicians they are authorized to manage.
View Technician Schedules: view schedules for technicians they are authorized to access, without making changes.
Manage Own Schedule: view and manage only their own schedule
Manage Standard Hours: Standard Hours access is separate from recurring schedule access. Users can view or edit Standard Hours based on their Standard Hours access.
Good to know
Schedules already set up in dispatch carry forward to the new Schedule module.
The Add Tech Schedule and Tech Schedule links in the dispatch view take you to the Schedule view. The second link opens it with that technician's schedule.
If you delete a recurring schedule, the technician returns to Standard Hours.
One-day schedule changes remain in place if Standard Hours or the technician’s recurring schedule is later updated, replaced, or deleted.
