Using the Comments Feature in the Ecotrak Techs Mobile App

This article will walk you through how to use the Comments feature in the Ecotrak Techs Mobile application to communicate with your Service Providers or Internal Team. Comments can be added to Work Orders, Proposals, Invoices, and RFPs. In this guide, we’ll demonstrate how to leave a comment on a Work Order, the same process applies to Proposals, Invoices, and RFPs.

1. The first step is to log into your account. Once logged in, you’ll be taken to the home screen.

2. Select the Work Orders tab at the bottom of the screen to view your list of work orders.

3. From the Work Orders screen, navigate to the work order you’d like to comment on by searching for the Work Order ID, applying filters, or scrolling through the list.

4. Once you locate the Work Order you're searching for, tap on it to open the Work Order details. In the details view, tap the Comments button located in the top-right of the screen to add a new one.

5. In the Comments tab, you can add a comment to the Work Order. To notify specific users or customers, click Add Users to Notify. Kindly note that all comments are visible to anyone (both Customers and Service Providers) who has access to the Work Order.

6. If you choose to select Add Users to Notify, a window will appear, allowing you to search for and select the desired User(s) and/or Customer(s). Once selected, click Add at the bottom to confirm your choices.

7. If you’ve added recipients to your comment, their names will appear at the bottom of the screen. Once you're satisfied with your message and ready to send it, click the paper airplane icon to submit your comment.

8. After clicking the paper airplane icon, your newly submitted comment will appear in the Comments section.
