Key Benefits of Managing Location Status
Using On Hold or Inactive status helps you:
Keep things organized: Hide closed or paused locations so your dashboard stays clean and easy to navigate.
Avoid mistakes: Prevents team members from sending work orders to locations that aren’t operating.
Get accurate reports: Makes sure your data reflects only active locations for better decision-making.
Make vendor communication easier: Service Providers can quickly see which locations are not accepting service.
Keep a record of everything: You can still view past work orders and history even after changing a location’s status.
Pause and resume smoothly: Put locations on hold without deleting them, and bring them back when you're ready.
How It Works
Prerequisites
In order to Inactivate or put a location On Hold, your job title will have to have the Edit Locations Role (permissions). If you do not have these permissions, and you believe you should, please reach out to your Account Administrator or your Customer Experience Manager.

Inactivating a Location
Use When: A location is permanently shut down and should no longer appear in reports or receive service.
Begin by navigating to Locations module and select the location you want to inactivate. Once you have selected the location, click on the edit pencil in the top left corner.
Once you click on Edit, you will see that Status can be toggled from Active to Inactive.
Simply toggle this to Inactive and click Save.
Setting a Location On Hold
Use When: A location is temporarily closed due to remodeling, seasonal downtime, or other short-term pauses.
The first step is to navigate to the Locations Module by clicking on Locations in the left menu bar. Once you have clicked on the Locations button, you will be taken to the Location module. From here, click on the Location that you wish to set On Hold.
Once you are on the Locations Details page, you will see the On Hold button on the left side of the details page about half way down the page.
Once confirmed, the location will move to On Hold.
