This article will help you navigate your User Roles and Permissions.

Creating a New Job Title:

  • After logging into your Ecotrak account, you will land on the main dashboard page. From here, locate and click on the Configuration tab found in the left menu bar and then click on Users.

  • Once you have clicked on the Users tab, you will be presented with a list of all existing users within your account. From here, you can 'Search' specific users, toggle the 'Inactive' users list, Download a list of your users, and '+ Add New users'.

  • To create a new Job Title, click on the Job Titles tab.

    • Note: Job titles drive a user's access in their account.

  • Click on +Add New.

  • Enter in the Job Title you'd like to create in the required field.

  • You will also have the ability to give this job title the following access points you'd like to add:

    • Display Restricted Problems on Request

    • Display Troubleshooting on Request

    • Display Job Title in Direct Notes

    • SP Rank 1 Only

  • After choosing the access points in the Details tab, the next step is to assign specific roles to the job title by going to the Roles tab. You can either use the search box to look for specific roles or you can also go through the list and tick the box that corresponds the specific role that you want to add for the job title.

    • Note - Roles assigned to job titles will permit the actions the user can perform. Just like Access Permissions.

  • Once changes have been made. Click on Save down at the bottom right.

Manage existing Job Titles:

  • Click on the specific Job Title you'd like to manage, then the edit icon at the upper right hand corner.

  • Make the necessary adjustments needed and click on Save.

Managing Roles within a Job Title:

  • To manage specific Roles within a Job Title, click on that Job Title.

  • Once the Job Title is selected, click on Roles.

  • Once roles is clicked, you will be able to see all the roles associated with the job title selected. To add a new Role, click on the Edit icon and select whichever role you'd like to add. Then click on save at the bottom right hand corner.
