The Ecotrak mobile app makes it easier than ever to replace an asset and set up a new QR code on the newly replaced asset. To do so, follow the steps listed below.
Navigating to the Asset Module on Ecotrak Mobile
1. In order to replace an asset on the Ecotrak mobile app, you will first want to log into your account and navigate to the Asset Module by clicking the Asset button on the bottom.
2. Once you navigate to the Asset module, you will see a list of your assets. You can search for your asset by using the search bar or by using the location and area filters seen below. Find the asset you wish to replace and click on the asset.
3. Replace Asset
Once you open the Asset details of the Asset you wish to replace, tap the Replace action button.
4. Replace QR Code
After you have tapped the Replace button, you will be taken the the Replace Asset page. In the middle of the page, you will see the Scan QR button to upload and replace the current QR Code.
Note: If you are seeing the same "Offline Mode" box at the top of your screen, you will need to navigate to your settings to make sure you're not in "Offline Surveyor Mode" or you can sync them into your instance once you are finished. Please refer to instructions referenced at the bottom of this article for further assistance.
5. After clicking the Scan QR button, your camera will turn on allowing you to scan a new QR code. Move your phone camera close to the QR code until the app recognizes the code and scans it in.
6. Once this is done, your new QR code will be ready to be attached to the new asset.
7. Finally, click save and your asset replacement with QR code replacement will be complete.
If you are in "Offline Surveyor Mode" please navigate to your Settings by clicking on "More" at the bottom right hand corner.
Here is where you will be able to turn off the "Offline Surveyor Mode" to get your assets loaded into your live instance while you go. If you want to wait until you are done surveying your location, you can leave this on and can sync assets into your account by going back to your Settings and clicking on "Assets Pending Sync"
