How to Assign Locations to Users

This article will provide you a step by step walk though on how to assign locations to users.

NOTE: Your ability to assign locations to users will be contingent on the Roles that your Job Title has been assigned. For more information on Job Titles and Roles, please see the following article:

Step 1. To assign locations to your users, you will first want to log into your admin account or any account with permissions for user configuration.

Step 2: You can access your users by expanding the Configurations option and then selecting the Users module from the left-hand side menu.

Step 2. Once in the Users page, you will be able to view all the users.

Step 3. You can choose the user that needs a location assignment by clicking on their User ID.

Step 4. After clicking on a User ID, you will be redirected to the user's information which includes the Details, Location Assignment, Attachment, and Activities tabs.

Step 5. From here, click on the Location Assignment tab to get a detailed view of the current location/s assigned to the user. Note: The table will be blank if the user does not have any locations assigned to it.

Step 6. Click on the Edit (Pencil Icon) button at the upper-right hand side of the Users page in order to make changes to the location assignment.

Step 7. After clicking on the Edit button, you will have three options on in assigning locations to the user.

Assign to All Company Locations - This option will automatically assign all the locations to the user.

Assign to Org Hierarchy Locations - This option will let you search/select a specific Company, Region, or District that you can assign to the user.

Assign to Specific Locations - This option will let you pick the specific location/s that you want to assign to the user by ticking the box before the location's information.

Step 8. Once you've selected your desired location assignment option or locations, you can click on the Save button at the bottom-right corner of the page which will open a pop-up box with the summary of the changes as well as the Confirm button to apply the changes. A confirmation message at the bottom-right corner of the page will confirm that the locations were successfully assigned.

Note: The pop-up box that has the summary of the changes does not apply to the Assign to All Company Locations option.
