Written by Max Stone

Step 1 Open a Work Order

Navigate to the Work Orders module and select the work order you want to update.

Locate the Project field within the work order.

Step 2 Select a Project or Subproject

Click into the Project field.

You will now see an improved, structured view that includes:

  • Parent projects

  • Associated subprojects listed beneath each parent

This layout allows you to clearly identify where the work order should belong.

Select the appropriate subproject or parent project.

Step 3 Create a New Project or Subproject

If the correct project does not exist:

Click the option to Add New Project.

You now have two choices:

  • Create a standard project

  • Create a subproject linked to an existing parent

Step 4 Create a Subproject

To create a subproject:

  1. Enter a Project Name

  2. Select the checkbox Add as Subproject

  3. Choose the relevant Parent Project from the list

  4. Define required categories and filters

  5. Complete all mandatory fields

Save the new subproject.

Step 5 Confirm Creation

Once saved:

  • The new subproject is created successfully

  • It appears under the selected parent project

  • The current work order is automatically linked to this subproject

Step 6 Verify in Projects Module

Navigate to the Projects module.

Locate the parent project and expand it.

You will see:

  • The newly created subproject

  • The associated work order listed under it
