How to Add an Asset w/Refrigerant Tracking

Refrigerant tracking in Ecotrak is a straightforward process designed to help you stay compliant and keep detailed records of your equipment

1. Navigate to the Configuration Module

Log in to your Ecotrak account.

From the main dashboard, click on the Asset Workflow under the Configuration module.

2. Enabling Refrigerant Tracking


In Asset Groups ensure Refrigerant Tracking is toggled on to allow the assets to be enabled.

3. Add a New Asset

Now navigate to the asset module.

Click on the Add Asset button.

Fill in the required fields, such as:

Asset Name: Provide a unique name for the asset.

Asset Type: Select the type of asset (e.g., HVAC, refrigeration unit).

Location: Assign the asset to a specific site or location.

Click Enable Refrigerant Tracking

Then Input refrigerant-specific details, such as:

Refrigerant Type: Choose from the dropdown list (e.g., R-22, R-410A).

Charge Amount: Enter the total refrigerant charge (in pounds or kilograms).

4. Add Additional Details (Optional)

Serial Number: Enter the serial number for identification.

Manufacturer and Model: Provide the asset’s make and model.

Maintenance Schedule: Set up a maintenance schedule to ensure the refrigerant levels are regularly checked.

5. Save the Asset

Once all fields are completed, click Save to add the asset to your system.

Best Practices for Refrigerant Tracking

Regular Updates: Update refrigerant logs after maintenance or refills.

Compliance Checks: Periodically review assets with refrigerant tracking to ensure compliance with local and federal regulations.
